An annual event that attracted more than 16,000 submissions from around the world, establishing itself as one of the largest independent film awards in terms of participation.
To celebrate this remarkable achievement, we are also delighted to announce that the winners of the Foreign Press Film Awards 2026 will be eligible to participate in the Egypt Global Film Awards (EGFA).

The Official Catalogue follows:

Among the major awards presented were *”Disclosure from a Cloakroom”* by Carol Dorn, winner of *Best International Indie Feature Script 2026*, as well as *Best Original Screenwriter* and *Best Storytelling*.

One of the standout productions of this edition was *”Bellatrix”* by Jacek Krawczyk, which earned an impressive seven awards: *Best Narrative Short 2026*, *Best Director of the Year*, *Best Soundtrack*, *Best Cast*, *Best Acting*, *Best Cinematographer*, and *Best Screenplay* in the Narrative Short category.

Also distinguished in the short film category were *”Final Orders”* by Nathan Benham, awarded *Best Indie Short Film 2026*, *Best Director*, and *Best Editing*; and *”An Ever After Drama”* by Michelle Lynn, winner of *Best Narrative Short Film 2026*, *Best Director 2026*, *Best International Actress*, *Best Short Screenplay*, and *Best Cinematography*.

In the experimental section, *”Tipping Point”*, directed by the acclaimed, award-winning American artist L. Scooter Morris, recipient of the Foreign Press FA awards for Best International Super Short Film 2026, Best Original Art Film, Best Human Rights Short Film, and Best Experimental Editing.

*”Primordial”* by Nana Papadaki stood out, winning *Best International Experimental Film 2026*, *Best Original Director*, *Best Sound*, and *Best Indie Cinematographer*. It was joined by *”Hot Afternoons Have Been in Montana”* by Ken Kimmelman, which received *Best Experimental Film Director 2026*, *Best Experimental Film*, *Best American Producer*, and *Best Cinematographer*; and *”Stalker Hair Twirl”* by Faye Fayerman, honored for *Best Director*, *Best Editing*, *Best Sound*, and *Best Arthouse Short Film*.

Among the documentaries, notable winners included *”Amen-Amen-Amen: A Story of Our Times”* by Tom Gallagher, awarded *Best Indie Documentary Feature*, *Best Director*, *Best Camera Operator*, and *Best Storytelling*; *”Pints With Kelly”* by Stephen Kelly, winner of *Best Documentary Feature 2026*, *Best Original Editing*, and *Best Indie Filmmaker of the Year*; *”AMERICA BOXED IN”* by Ian S. Michelle Lynn’s presence was particularly remarkable, with five different works receiving awards. In addition to the highly acclaimed *”An Ever After Drama”*, her works *”Whispers of Love”* (*Best Original Feature Script of the Year*), *”Behind The Algorithm”* (*Best American Screenplay 2026* and *Best Indie Story*), *”Lucky in Long Island”* (*Best International Songwriter 2026* and *Best Sound Designer*), and *”Strawberries and Cream”* (*Best American Song of the Year*) were also honored.

In the animation category, *”A Rescues Song”* by Tommy Anderson and Sherry Severs won *Best Arthouse Animated Short Film 2026*, while *”Looking for Inspiration (Poszukiwanie inspiracji)”* by Michał Kucharski received *Best International Animated Short Film 2026*, in addition to *Best International Filmmaker* and *Best Original Idea*.
